Dear Partners,
our third meeting is approaching and I think we are all looking forward to being together again in Barcelona.
We are now finalising the "logistic" aspects of the agenda together with our Catalan friends.
For the more substantial aspects we would need your help to know from each of you:
what you have prepared for the meeting in accordance with what we planned in Karmoy
how much time you need for your presentations
what issues in particular you would like to discuss.
We think that it is important to come out from this meeting with a more detailed idea of the overall state of the art of our case studies and their development, identifying the projects we want to focus on and clarifying the way we want to describe and comment on them in our documentation.
The Italian groups have prepared a short presentation of three selected projects (including the one which was presented in Karmoy) and some proposal to document their implications and developments.
As soon as we receive your feed-back, we will send you the proposed agenda.
So far we would like to provide you with some preliminary information about our
arrangements.
The hotel: after long selection process ( Barcelona is a fascinating but quite expensive city!) we have selected the Hotel Gotico C/Jaime I, 14 (www.hotegotico.com). It is a very central hotel, located in the "Barrio Gotico" close to many attractions such as the Ramblas, the Picasso Museum the famous food market "Mercant Sant Josep / La Boqueria".
Our sessions will be partly in the hotel and partly in the department of education, some 15 minutes by taxi from the hotel.
We are planning exciting meals with tapas… seafood … and the best Catalan specials we can afford.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday we will enjoy interesting restaurants.
Last, but not least some financial issues.
Our arrangements imply the immediate payment of the hotel and the
restaurants, therefore we will have to pay the bill everytime. No problem for UK,
Spain and Portugal since Italy is taking care of them. Norway and CZ will have
to have cash available.
